Patricia "Petey" Beichler, 91, of Wilmington, N.C., formerly of Altoona, passed away Monday. She was born in Altoona to James and Geraldine Fleming.
Petey worked as a preschool teacher and pre-K and kindergarten aide for St. Andrew Preschool and the Altoona Area School District.
She will be remembered for her love of children and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Petey is survived by her children: Geoffrey (Melissa), Kirk, Kevin (Wendy) and Kelli Servello (Larry); and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; and grandson, Julian.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Preschool at Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N. Sixth St., Altoona, PA 16601.
