Kenneth "Gene" Berkheimer, 76, of Altoona, passed away Friday. He was born in Duncansville, son of the late Kenneth Edward and Alice Ruth Berkheimer. He is survived by four children; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Gene was a U.S. Navy veteran. The family is grateful for the friendship and support Mr. Berkheimer received from those who were closest to him. A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at Center City Church, 1220 12th Ave., Altoona, followed by a dinner afterward.
