Franklin H. White Sr., 82, of Tyrone, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Harrisburg, a son of the late Carl and Betty (Hagen) White.
On Jan. 2, 1975, Frank married Nancy Ross. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2023.
He is survived by a son, Franklin (Julie) White Jr. of Bellwood; a grandson, Ryan (Julia) White of Pittsburgh; brothers, Carl and David White; sisters, Pam Dick and Judy O'Rourke; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, John "Jack" White.
Frank was a 1963 graduate of Tyrone High School. He retired as a machinist from Chicago Rivet, Tyrone.
He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone.
Frank enjoyed hunting, especially deer and turkey. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and an avid fan of Tyrone, Penn State and Pittsburgh sports teams.
Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Pastors Ron Baker and Brian White officiating. Interment will be private.
