Elva M. Bryant, 92, of Altoona, died early Friday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Earl B. and Rose A. (Reifsteck) Wendell.
She married John A. "Jack" Bryant on July 9, 1983, in Altoona. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2009.
Surviving are three children: Patty L. Repko (Robert), Cheryl A. Ebersole (Alton) and Paul D. Gomes; four grandchildren: Cortney Diehl, Cody Ebersole, Brady Ebersole and Aspin Gomes; and four great-grandchildren: Carson Diehl, Colon Diehl, Bronson Diehl and Emmett Ebersole.
Elva was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Wendell; and a brother, Richard Wendell.
Mrs. Bryant was a member of Lakemont
United Methodist Church.
She was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School.
She retired from Riverside Markets and the Altoona Area School District.
Elva found her greatest happiness spending time with her family and friends.
She was a former longtime active member of the Lakemont Lions Club.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
