Dorothy E. Blazier, 94, of Antis Township, died early Sunday morning at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Eva (Weyandt) Rennow.
On Sept. 26, 1951, she married Donald E. Blazier in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2026.
Surviving are her son, Donald E. Jr. (Debbie) of Bellwood; a daughter, Dee Blazier of Antis Township; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Curt) and Michael (Tyne); and four great-grandsons.
She attended Altoona High School and formerly worked at Altoona Hospital and Sylvania.
Dorothy was a member of Trans4mation Church, Altoona, and was formerly active in the Women's Missionary group. She was also an active member of the Decedents of the Civil War Veterans and Bellwood-Antis Historical Society.
Her favorite pastimes included scrapbooking, embroidery and genealogy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Balzano officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Dorothy's memory be made to Father's House, 1520 11th St., Altoona, PA 16601.
