Betty J. Snyder, 85, formerly of Bakers Summit, passed away Wednesday. She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late Clinton and Gladys (Shehans) Merrits. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Snyder; and a brother, George Merrits. Surviving are her children: Connie Cottle, Charles and George Snyder; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Clair. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.
