Thomas C. Lannen Sr., 85, of Tyrone, passed away Tuesday. He was born in Philipsburg, a son of the late Thomas Ambrose and Betty Jean (Moses) Lannen.
On Jan. 2, 1960, in Tyrone, he married Janice (Chronister) Lannen, who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Jerilyn Lannen McManigal, Jacqueline Marie (Greg Little) Lannen Conaway and Thomas C. (Shellie) Lannen Jr.; six grandchildren: Brian (Jo) McManigal Jr., Ashley (Adam Powers) McManigal, Tiffanie Garman, Brittany Barnett, Jordan (Haley) Conaway and Amber (Justin) Goolsby; and 10 great-grandchildren: Rory, Rian, Ripley, Maclan, Maddox, Ava, Mya, Serenity, Oakley and Scarlett.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lannen; and two sons-in-law, David Conaway and Brian McManigal Sr.
Thomas was a 1960 graduate of Philipsburg High School. He began working for Butterick Co. Inc., Altoona, as a lithographer and retired in 2000 after 37 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as Tyrone and Penn State wrestling. He also liked traveling and going to Atlantic Beach.
Funeral services for Thomas C. Lannen Sr. will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made privately at Blair Memorial Park.
