Stephen A. Beauchamp Sr., 76, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Shadyside. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John C. and Mary Jane (Stroh) Beauchamp. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen M. Farrell on Feb. 6, 1971.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years; three sons: Stephen Jr., Thomas and wife, Jenny, and Michael and wife, Nicki; two daughters, Karen Beauchamp and Casey Grove and husband, Shem; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Shroyer and husband, Jim; and a brother, John K. "Kenny" and wife, Barbara.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacey Anne in 1977.
Steve was a 1968 graduate of Altoona High School and retired as a brick and stone mason for over forty years.
He was a life-member of the Bavarian Aid Society.
Steve's life was full of simple pleasures.
His heart was happiest when he was creating memories with his grandkids, watching westerns and John Wayne movies, and watching Penn State football with family and friends on Saturday afternoons at Zach's. His lifetime hobby was remodeling houses and building homes with his wife.
Friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Monday, Sept 28, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m. with Monsignor Stanley Carson officiating.
Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
