Sharon Ann (Snare) Lynn, 79, of Altoona, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday at Homewood Living Martinsburg. She was the daughter of the late B. Franklin "Frank" and Iris (Stombaugh) Snare.

Surviving are her companion, Jerry Kauffman; a daughter, Denice Grawe (Joe); two grandchildren, Elliott and Sylvia; two brothers, Wayne (Sharon) and Darrell (Eileen) Snare; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Clarice Jackson.

Sharon graduated from Central High School and retired from McLanahan Corp. after more than 20 years as a traffic coordinator.

She was a longtime member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, where she served on the board, coordinated Easter flowers and Soup Saturdays for many years.

Sharon was an avid quilter, including at Homewood prior to being a resident and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

She will be remembered by her friends and family for her unending kindness, lightheartedness, perseverance and resourcefulness.

Sharon's family would like to thank the staff of Homewood Living Martinsburg for their loving care over the past three years.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Hollidaysburg Church of The Brethren, with Pastor Gabe Imler officiating.

Private interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
