Peggy A. Knipple, age 97, a resident of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond C. and Emma C. (Fleck) Neuhart.
She married Raymond P. Knipple on Nov. 11, 1949, in Altoona. He preceded her in death June 28, 1997.
Surviving are three grandchildren: Amy Stone, Brian Woomer and Jason Kendall; nine great- grandchildren: Brianna, Kayleigh, Aaden, Charlotte, Eva, Anna, Philip, Addie and Lucas; numerous nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Carol Kendall; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Thomson Jr.
She waspreceded in death by her children, Jack Kendall in 2023, and Becky Thomson in 2024; a grandson, Adam Kendall; and her seven siblings: Lois, Thelma, Betty, Helen, Merle, Robert and Kenneth.
Peggy was a graduate of Sewickley High School. She retired from Thrift Drug.
She was a past member of Schum United Methodist Church.
She previously enjoyed square dancing and working outdoors around the house.
At Peggy's request, there will be no public services. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
