Nancy M. (Lombardo) Gority, 95, Altoona, passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, 2026, at UPMC Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Gority; her parents, Anthony and Lucy Lombardo; her sisters, Mary Baer (John) and Gloria Whinney (Bob); and her brothers: Dominick (Louise), Joseph (Marie) and Vincent (Sandra).
Nancy is survived by her brother, Tony Lombardo (Donna); sisters, Sylvia Haney (Don) and Rose Snyder (Ron); and many nieces and nephews.
She was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School and worked many jobs over her lifetime. She was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone at AMED, UPMC Altoona and Midtown Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center for the exceptional love and care they provided.
Nancy lived a long life of hard work and a strong devotion to her parents, husband, siblings and those around her that she worked with. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Arrangements were made by Santella Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, with the Rev. Monsignor Stanley Carson officiating.
