Michael Steven Peoples, 62, of Coalport, passed away Saturday. He was born in Philipsburg, son of the late Roy C. Peoples and Linda L. Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his brother, James (Sue) Peoples; and stepsiblings, Diana (Kirk) Nelson-Winchell and William Nelson Jr. Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Carl Peoples, who raised him; and his maternal grandparents, Virginia and James Smith. Friends will be received from 3 until the 5 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., 301 Church St., Gallitzin.
