Judith Ann (Grazier) Duey, 86, of Tyrone, died Sept. 16, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was a daughter of the late Bernard J. and Ethel (Brown) Grazier.
Judith married William E. Duey on Dec. 31, 1960.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mary Catherine Blessing Seidl of Appleton, Wis.; nephews: Todd Blessing (Lisa) of Allen, Texas; Shawn Blessing (Christine) of Minneapolis, Minn.; James T. Grazier (Becky) of Thibodaux, La.; and nieces: Judy Tweed (Larry) of Appleton, Wis.; Dawn Chadwick (Ken) of Thibodaux, La.; and Lynette Grazier of Breaux Bridge, La.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James T. Grazier (Mildred).
Judy graduated from Tyrone High School in 1957 and St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1960.
After marrying William, she pursued her profession and her role as an Army wife throughout his career. In 1976, she graduated from the Indiana University School of Nursing with a BSN degree.
Judy was a remarkable person, talented in many areas. As a high school student, she played the organ for daily Mass at St. Matthew Church in Tyrone, she was an outstanding cook and loved entertaining friends at dinner and she was an accomplished seamstress and quilter.
"Aunt Jude" had a special relationship with her nephews and nieces, both related and "adopted." She was their friend, mentor and life coach.
She enjoyed tailgates at Penn State and Altoona Curve games. Judy also had special friends within the Amish community in Sinking Valley and for several years provided school supplies to the Amish schools.
At her request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Oak Grove Cemetery, with Father Michael Pleva officiating.
