Ian K. Ulrich, 14, of Antis Township, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born in Altoona, a son of Kristopher H. and Jamie M. (Snouffer) Ulrich.
Ian is survived by his parents; his siblings: Quinten (Morgan) and Gavin Ulrich, Dustin (Kilee) Schirf and Whitney Ulrich; his grandparents, Winifred M. Snouffer and Robert B. Ulrich; aunts, Bobbie Jo Ulrich and Anna Riley; a nephew and nieces: Ivan, Aviana and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Diane Louise Ulrich and James Snouffer.
Ian was a ninth grade student at Bellwood-Antis High School, where he attended honors classes and participated in the STEM program. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, fishing, bowling and playing video games.
Ian's death leaves a hurt that nothing can fill, but his love leaves memories that death cannot steal.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at the funeral home, with Pastor Howard S. Shawley officiating.
