Gregory T. Seymore, 79, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon at his home after an extended illness. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Leo and Pauline (Cunningham) Seymore.
In April 1966, Gregory married the love of his life, Ann (Kehoe) Seymore, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.
A 1964 graduate of Altoona High School, Gregory continued his education at Robert Morris University, graduating in 1966. He was an owner/operator of Seymore Brothers Inc. for the majority of his life. Throughout his professional life, he was an active member of the Penn Concrete Block Association, the Blair County Builders Association and the Penn Concrete Manufacturers Association.
Gregory was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and participated in several local skeet shooting leagues. An avid outdoorsman and enthusiast, he cherished riding touring motorcycles with his children and grandchildren, often embarking on trips that lasted weeks, as well as boating, waterskiing, camping, RV traveling and hunting. He took great pleasure in collecting cars and motorcycles, but above all, he treasured spending time around the pool with his family and his beloved Labs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Kehoe) Seymore; his children: Brian Seymore, married to Michele (Sollar); and Heather Macharola and her significant other, James Patterson; eight grandchildren: Zachary Seymore, married to Krista (Beswick); Jacob Seymore, married to Haley (Patterson); Lucas Seymore; Michael Crist; Pauline (Macharola) Cassurella, married to Jesse; Francis Macharola, married to Courtney (Tilly); Nicholas Macharola; and Grazia Macharola; two great-grandchildren, Kylah Seymore and expected baby Cecelia Cassurella; his brother, Jeffery Seymore, married to Marilyn; his brother-in-law, Hugh Kehoe; as well as Christopher and Travis Seymore, Brendt Seymore, Brandeis Kremer, Allison Kehoe and numerous grandnieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Seymore.
Friends and family will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the funeral home, with Father Lubomir Strecok officiating.
Burial will be held Calvary Cemetery, Altoona
