Dennis C. Albright, 85, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Fred and Susan (Henry) Albright.
He married Carol A. Kagarise on Feb. 14, 1981.
Surviving are his wife; children: Jill Lane (Jeff), Jay Albright (Lisa), Vince Blazevich (Gigi), Vicky Barile, Veronica Blazevich, Kristie Albright, Damian Gilley, John Albright, Josh Albright and Heidi Albright; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Albright; a sister, Peggy Hircko; and a nephew, Andy Albright.
Denny was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, where he taught CCD classes. He retired as a die caster at Veeder-Root Co. in 2001, after 35 years of employment. After retiring, he drove school buses for the Claysburg and Spring Cove school districts.
Denny played the guitar and had a beautiful voice. He enjoyed yodeling and dancing, especially two-stepping and waltzing. He was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge, and was a Santa for more than 20 years, going to the mall, private homes and various clubs.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Dennis to Shriners Hospitals for Children, c/o Jaffa Shriners, 2200 Broad Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
