Deborah K. Edmundson, 68, of Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday. She was the daughter of Levi and Regina (Burk) Walter of Claysburg.
She is survived by a brother, Ray Walter; a son-in-law and daughter, Tom and Missy Miller, of Roaring Spring; and a son, David Edmundson, of Hollidaysburg. Her grandchildren are, Taylor Miller (Jackson Hay), Cody Miller (Leah Criswell), Brooke Neugebauer (Matt), Trevor Edmundson (Delainey Dodson), Chase Edmundson and Ashtyn Eckenrode; and a great-grandson, Christian Neugebauer. We would also like to acknowledge two dear friends, Sue Williams, best friend and caregiver; and Paul Lilly, a dear friend.
Debby was preceded in death by both parents; a stepmother, Inez Walter; a beloved sister, Mary (Mutz) Housel; and a baby sister, Candy.
Debby was a 1976 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. She loved her hometown. She was married in 1976 and had two children. Debby was a manager in Tupperware for many years. She also taught physical education at Blair County Christian School. She spent 26 years selling real estate which she loved. She started at Century 21 Zane Helsel Realty then moved to Coldwell Banker Town & Country Realty and retired from Remax Results Realty Group. She truly enjoyed working with the many customers, agents, attorneys and closing companies along the way. If you worked with Debby, thank you.
Debby was a member of Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church for 50 years. She was a choir member and a Sunday school teacher. She was also part of the secret pal ministry for many years. She was a part of the Ladies Ministry at the church, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She headed up the annual Christmas giveaway, which allowed her to serve the people in the community!
In her later years, she was a member of the pastoral staff at the Altoona Hospital Hillman Center. She loved meeting with the people there and sharing her faith with them.
Debby was very much a people person. She loved meeting new people and visiting with all the many precious people she met along the way. She loved being able to serve others. Many who met her, loved her. She was also very devoted to her family. She always made time for her children and grandchildren and left a legacy unlike any other. She was loved beyond words and will be missed so very much.
Last of all but most importantly, she loved her Lord. Debby exuded the love of Jesus to everyone she came in contact with. If you met Debby, you met her Jesus. She never missed an opportunity to tell people about the Lord and what amazing things He had done in her life. To know Deb…you were blessed.
Debby's family would like to thank her church and community for the outpouring of love they have shown. We have truly seen how precious she was to so many.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, 1130 Foot of Ten Road, Duncansville; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the church, with Pastor David Huston officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her church.
