Steven C. Meiser, 67, of Altoona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at UPMC Altoona. He was born July 30, 1959, in Roaring Spring, son of the late William G. Sr. and Ida S. (Weyandt) Meiser. He married Pam Sandrus on August 18, 1990.
Surviving are his wife; children: Steven C. Meiser Jr. (Laura), Matthew D. Meiser (Nicole), Joshua C. Hillard (Jamie), Jeremy D. Hillard (Lauren) and Jeannette L. Dickinson, 11 grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Wertz; and brothers, Brian B. Meiser (Donna) and Michael T. Meiser. He was preceded in death by a brother, William G. Meiser Jr.; and brother-in-law, Gary Wertz.
Steve was a 1977 graduate of Central High School. He retired in 2018 as owner/operator of Meiser's Garage, Roaring Spring. He was a member of Hillside Community Church and enjoyed genealogy, VWs and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Thursday Aug. 6, 2026, at Hillside Community Church, 508 South Cambria St., Bellwood, with Pastor Ken Beichler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
