Patricia A. (Stonerook) Lucas, 58, a longtime resident of Centreville, Va., passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 17, 2026. Patricia was the daughter of the late Kenneth A. Stonerook and Margaret J. (Kephart) Stonerook, who survives in Martinsburg.
She is also survived by her son, Benjamin Lucas of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three siblings: Kenneth Stonerook Jr. of Woodbury, Tina Stonerook of Martinsburg and Deborah Stonerook of Martinsburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1986 graduate of Central High School, Patricia went on to earn her bachelor's degree in early education from Penn State University, and later earned her master's degree in mathematics education from Walden University.
She lived in Virginia for more than 30 years and spent much of her career as an elementary school teacher at Bull Run Elementary School, where she taught math along with other subjects throughout her years in education.
Patricia enjoyed music, puzzles and traveling. Over the years, she traveled to many different destinations with friends and family, creating many memories and experiences along the way. She also enjoyed keeping up with the lives and accomplishments of those close to her.
Patricia will be deeply missed and remembered by her family, friends, students and all those whose lives crossed paths with hers.
Friends and family will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Woodbury, with Paul Fisher officiating.
