Michele (Hatch) Colian, 65, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Ebensburg, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at her home. Michele was born in Altoona, the daughter of Beverly Hatch and Evelyn "Jane" Hatch. She grew up in Ebensburg, where she began a life filled with family, friendships and cherished memories.
Michele was the owner of a pest control business and a loving, devoted mother and wife. She was full of life and had a remarkable ability to bring smiles to those around her. Her bright, shining light came from within, and her warmth and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
A self-taught and well-read woman, Michele had a curious mind and enjoyed learning about many different subjects. She loved cooking and took great pride in creating an inviting, warm and loving home for her family. She enjoyed campfires and boating, but perhaps nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her beloved "baby doggies." Her love for animals was a special part of who she was, and her compassionate heart touched both people and pets alike.
Michele will now be reunited with those who went before her, including Jason, Bevin and Justin; her parents, Beverly and Evelyn; and numerous extended family members and friends. She leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her son, Nathan, and daughter-in-law, Liz; her siblings: Kevin, Denise (Denny) Yahner and Kenton (Helen) Hatch; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Michele will be remembered for her loving heart, her zest for life, her generosity, her love of family and the joy she brought to those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her bright spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
The family will honor Michele's life with a private Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, Michele's wish is that donations be made in her name to your local no-kill animal shelter, in honor of her deep love and compassion for animals.
