Madeline Jean McMillen, 83, Coalport, passed away Thursday at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born in Braddock, daughter of Steve and Josephine (Behanic) Evcic.

She is survived by daughter, Lailani (Kirk) McCully; grandchildren: Heather (Justin) Anderson, Dustin (Brittany) Dotts, Nicole (Robert) Bateman and Heather McCully; great-grandchildren: Paige, Lilly and Wyatt Anderson, Heidi and Bentley Dotts and Lincoln, Jackson and Emerson Bateman; a sister, Carole Kruis; a niece and godchild, Teresa Kruis; and extended family, Lisa Mooney Gresh and Bobby and Rich Mooney and families.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Richard Evcic; a brother-in-law, Roger Kruis; and her companion, Robert "Bob" Mooney.

She was employed as a bartender at Bar 53 and was referred to as "Mean Jean." She retired from Walmart Supercenter, Clearfield, as a customer service manager. Jean was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, Women of the Moose and VFW Post 7043, Coalport.

She enjoyed spending time with family, trips with friends, crossword puzzles, reading and game shows.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at Gibbons-Penksa Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville. An additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at Gibbons-Penksa Funeral Home, Ashville. Interment will be at Beaver Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Basil the Great Catholic Church or Spirit and Truth Church. Arrangements are by Gibbons-Penksa Funeral Home, Ashville.
