Joyce M. Beck, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of Duncansville, passed away Monday at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late Lowrey I. and Grace N. (Stiffler) Fowkes.
On May 8, 1953, in Duncansville, she was united in marriage to Richard E. Beck.
Joyce was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and an active member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. She was employed as a receptionist at Rich's Optical Center, Altoona.
Joyce was a talented knitter and crocheter. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on April 26, 1991; a granddaughter, Tessie Weibley; and a great-grandson, JT Weibley.
Surviving are son, James E. Beck (Victoria) of Dubois; daughter, Kathy L. Weibley (Thomas) of Duncansville; grandchildren, Kylene Schneider (Jake) and Kristine Beck (Josh); and great-grandchildren: Khala, Kyan, Caleb and Eli.
At the request of the deceased, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
