Geraldine Fay Federinko, 93, of Altoona, formerly of Indiana, Pa., passed away Tuesday at Graystone Manor at Bellmeade. She was born in Cherry Tree, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hines) Fleming.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Federinko; and three sons: Gerald E., George M. and John C. Federinko. Geraldine was also preceded in death by her siblings: Zene, Lisle, Chester, Roy, Cora, Trilby "Dot," Ines, Ester, and Stella.
Surviving are her four sons: Richard A., Patrick J. (Lynda), Christopher S. (Lynn) and Ryan J. (Sharon) Federinko; 11 grandchildren: Joselyn Fontanella, John, Brittany, Conner, Tyler, Miranda, Lauren and Michael Federinko, Michelina Eckert, Joseph Bolognese and Emma Rossio; eight great-grandchildren: Dylan, Colin, Camden, Aubrey, Ivy, Evelyn, Lilyana and Olivia. Also surviving are her two siblings, Ray and Martha; and many nieces and nephews.
Geraldine retired from Hills Department Store located in Indiana, Pa. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Drive, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation; a local food bank; a charity of your choice; or plant a tree.
