Barbara L. (Grove) Snyder, 81, Altoona, passed away Monday.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edgar and Sylvia (McGinnis) Grove.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Snyder Sr.; four children: Karen Smith and husband, Tom, Pamela Moore and husband, Gene, Douglas Snyder and Charles Snyder Jr. She was a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Michael Snyder; a daughter, Alicia Snyder; two granddaughters, Victoria Hass and Erika Walters; Baby Moore; three sisters; and a brother.
A 1963 graduate of Altoona High School, Barbara dedicated her life to the heart of the home. As a talented seamstress for Saf-T-Bak and a devoted homemaker, she wove love and care into everything she did for those she held dear.
Family was the absolute cornerstone of Barbara's life. She gave of herself selflessly, for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed playing a competitive game of cards or Yahtzee, watching her favorite game shows and relaxing with a Lifetime movie. Her legacy of selfless love will forever be cherished by her family.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
