Alvin Lawrence "Coke" Wahl, 88, Gallitzin, died Sunday. He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Joseph and Catherine Rakar. Surviving are his wife, Joan Wahl; a daughter, Denise; a son, Alan; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A private viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home, Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at St. Demetrius Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
