William John Obert

William John Obert, of Bedford, passed away July 2, 2026. He was born to William and Ruth (Jug) Obert. William is survived by his wife, Sherry J. (Mills). He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-69. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Akers Funeral Home Inc. and a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m., with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. A graveside service will be held at the Everett Cemetery with full military honors by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026.
