Rosemary M. (Kokosko) Kasubick, 80, of Houtzdale passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born Sept. 4, 1945, in Houtzdale, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Gezymalla) Kokosko.

On Sept. 9, 1967, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, she married John T. Kasubick and they began their life together enjoying 58 years of marriage.

Along with her husband, Rosemary is survived by her sister, Patricia Knee of Clearfield; brother, Carl Edward Kokosko of Houtzdale; nephews: Thomas (Jennifer) Cornell and David and Jason Knee; niece, Jody Knee; and great-nephews: Bryce, Jack and Preston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Barbara; an infant niece, Melanie; and a nephew, Edward Kokosko.

Rosemary was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas for more than 30 years, sang in the church and funeral choir and was a member of the Lions Club Community Showboat Show for more than 25 years.

She was a 1963 graduate of Houtzdale High School.

Rosemary retired from Penn State University, where she was employed in the accounting department for 30 years.

She loved to travel and was an avid Penn State football fan. She was a wonderful homemaker who took pride in her flowers and garden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, Father Jonathan Schmolt, celebrant.

Family and friends will be received at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., 200 David St., Houtzdale, from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Rosemary will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin.
