Nancy Mitchell, 81, of Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Betty Monborne of Barnesboro; and a brother, David Monborne of Northern Cambria.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Steve Mitchell; her siblings: Sandra Nelson, Walkersville, Md.; Barbara (Larry) Baker, Cherry Tree; Judith (Ray) Baker, Brookville; Louis (Judith) Monborne, Northern Cambria; and Cindy (Carl) Ludwig, Nicktown.
She was a loving stepmother to Kristi (Joe) Montrella, Duncansville, and Shaun (Alicia) Mitchell,
Blanchard. Nancy found the greatest joy as Nana to her grandchildren: Juliana, Abby and Josh Montrella.
Nancy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews: Diane (Pete) Heppner, Debbie (Brian) Hetrick, Larry John (Donna) Baker, Richie (Mary) Baker, Beth Ann (Mike) Sheredy, Scott (Amy) Baker, Sharon (Jay) Geibel, Amy (Mark) Powell, Lin (Brian) Yachtis, Dustin (Julie) Ludwig and Dan (Julie) Ludwig.
After graduation, Nancy began her banking career at Laurel Bank in Barnesboro. Following several mergers, she retired as an assistant vice president with Johnstown Bank and Trust, concluding an accomplished 37-year banking career.
Nancy cherished spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Molly.
In accordance with Nancy's wishes, there will be no public service.
