Mona Gayle Black, 90, of Claysburg, passed away Wednesday at Homewood Living Martinsburg. She was born in Queen, the oldest daughter of the late Lester C. and Alma E. (Briggle) Burket.
Mona is survived by her daughter, Jill Lynette (Black) Knisely; two grandchildren, Garrett Wayne and Dustin Michael Knisely; a sister, Ola M. Panaro (Joe) of Duncansville; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Gary W. Knisely; and her brother, Lester Ray "Turk" Burket.
She was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield Kimmel High School and retired from SKF USA Inc. in Altoona as a laborer.
Mona attended Queen Methodist Church and enjoyed playing the piano and singing at church.
There will be no viewing or services per Mona's request.
