Kathleen M. “Kass” Endress, 96, formerly of Bellwood, died Friday evening at Graystone Manor Bellmeade.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Carl and Mildred (Lingenfelter) Williams. On July 9, 1949, she married Melvin Eugene Endress at Point Marion. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1993.
Surviving are her children, Steven W. (Maryann) of Bloomsburg and Joyce E. (Al) Mielnik of Bellmeade; three grandchildren: Erin, Christopher and Olivia; five great-grandchildren: Kalieb, Mason, Emma, Flynn and Kyle Jr.; and her sister, Doris Royer of Middlefield, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by grandsons, Richard and Randy Mielnik; and a brother, George E. Williams.
Kathleen was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School and a former member of Bellwood Excelsior Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, doing crafts and listening to gospel hymns every night. She also enjoyed all sporting events, especially women’s college volleyball and tennis.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
