Jason Shawn Mallery, 46, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born in Altoona, the son of John and Linda (Barnard) Mallery.

Surviving are his parents; his children’s mothers: Cassey Newberry, Candice Livella and Ashley

Ramsey; five children: Kyara Mallery (Shamar Bullett), Jaden Mallery, Morgan Newberry, Jaelynn Mallery and Jayce Mallery; two grandchildren, Novah Bullett and Maddux Bullett; a sister, Lisa Mayhue (Russell); and a brother, Michael Mallery (Jennifer).

He will also be missed by nieces and nephews: Bradley Mayhue (fiancee, Savannah Esmaili), Taylor Massar (Tyler), Nathaniel Mallery (fiancee, Ashton Harper) and Hunter Mallery (Mikaila); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth Mallery; and his maternal grandparents, Roger and Dot Barnard.

He was a 1997 graduate of Altoona Area High School and went on to attend Penn Highlands Community College. He worked as a machinist for a steel mill in Pittsburgh.

Jason enjoyed fishing, reading, weightlifting, writing, attempting poetry and playing cards.

He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Friends and family will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a funeral will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Dull, officiating. Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
