Cora Joanne Hileman, 85, of Williamsburg, passed away early Saturday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was one of 12 children born in Hollidaysburg to the late Harold and Dessa (Garman) Neely.
On March 9, 1963, in Winchester, Va., she married Kenneth Hileman Sr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Tammy Hileman of Williamsburg, Lisa Palmer and husband, Russell, of Williamsburg, Kenneth Hileman Jr. and companion, Tracey, of DuBois, Melissa Saylor of Martinsburg and Kristina Lynn and husband, Todd, of Canoe Creek; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Betty Butler, widow of Pete, of Martinsburg, Patty Woomer and husband, James, of Hollidaysburg and Margaret "Peg" Oakes, widow of Gerald, of Casa Grande, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings: Harold "Sonny," Joseph, William, Donnie, Robert and Jack Neely, Eva Catherine Keller and Carol Caldwell.
Joanne was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
She spent much of her life as a homemaker while also caring for her brother, Robert, for more than
30 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
In her free time, she enjoyed camping, bird watching and watching the chippies run across the road in front of the house.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Michelle Carper and Jennifer McCoy of Gentiva Hospice for the care Joanne received.
Funeral services will be private.
