Alice Pollard

She married George K. Pollard on Sept. 5, 1981, at Leamers­ville Grace Brethren Church. He passed away on May 26, 1993.

She is survived by a brother, Galen Hoover, in Ohio; numerous nieces, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Hoover, of Jonestown, Pa.

Alice was a 1957 graduate of Morrison Cove High School. She was raised and worked around the family farm, as well as the dress factory in Martinsburg and the Roaring Spring Paper Mill. She was a longtime member of the Leamersville Grace Brethren Church (Grace Fellowship Church).

Alice and George loved to host and entertain, where she showcased her love for baking, and after his passing, she enjoyed family get-togethers.

Friends will be received from 5:30 until the 6:30 p.m. memorial service Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the Chapel at The Village of Morrison Cove, 429 S. Market St., Martinsburg, with Pastor Timothy Guyer officiating.

Arrangements are by Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., Claysburg.
