Thomas Patrick “Pat” Morning Jr., 91, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Thomas P. Sr. and Edna Mae (Mannion) Morning.

Tom married Wilma C. Norton on July 14, 1953, in Orlando, Fla. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2010.

Tom is survived by his four daughters: Cindy Lytle (Rick) of Altoona, Dee Mincey (Bill) of Jacksonville, Fla., Debbie Hollen (Bruce) of North Augusta, S.C., and Sandy Moore of Altoona; his son, Chris Morning (Shelly) of Mustang, Okla.; 11 grandchildren: Dan (Kaitlin), Ronnie, Ricky (Erika), Kristin (Don), Scott (Shannon), Tonya, Tim (Ana), Amber (Scott), Shawn, Mari (Colt) and Jacob; his brother, Michael Morning (Mary Lee) of Hollidaysburg; several nieces and nephews; his special “Aunt Minnie”; and dear friend and caregiver, Dona Fitzgerald.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Barbara Stevens, Sylvia Hunt, Judy Morning, Susan Glunt and Bonnie Vance; and his brother, Jim Morning.

Tom served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from SKF USA Inc. with 30 years of service.

Tom was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

He was a daily patron for breakfast at Denny’s, where they treated him like family. Tom was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and had been a longtime volunteer at the Altoona Hospital and then at UPMC Altoona.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1 Cathedral Square, Altoona, with Monsignor Stanley Carson, celebrant.

Committal with military honors will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
