Shirley L. Diehl

She was born in Blue Knob, daughter of the late William and Sarah (Snowberger) Herman. On April 29, 1966, she married Larry Guy Diehl in Durham, N.C. He passed away Sept. 24, 2009.

Surviving are a son, David E. Diehl, and wife, Melinda, of Imler; five grandchildren: Cody, Kyle, Alexis, Alawni and Aleeta; a stepgranddaughter, Carissa; two great-grandchildren, Clinton and Baylee; two brothers, Roger and Don Herman; and three sisters: Lori Krumenacker, Vivian Davis and Darlene Goughnour.

She was preceded in death by brothers: Ed, Eugene and Regis Herman.

She was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired as an inventory specialist from RGIS in 2007. Shirley attended East Freedom Chapel.

She enjoyed puzzles, reading, sewing, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 810 Bedford St., Claysburg. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
