Shirley Ann (Campbell) McLaughlin, 88, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Anna (Keyes) Campbell and Ernest W. Campbell Sr.
She married James McLaughlin on July 26, 1958. They shared 67 beautiful years together.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She created a wonderful home for her family and friends, especially with her fabulous recipes and excellent cooking. She was always stylish and elegant.
She was a lifelong, faithful Christian and a member of Mardorf United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by a son, Michael McLaughlin (Christine) of Indiana; a grandson, Michael McLaughlin (Kelly); a granddaughter, Katharine McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Joseph McLaughlin; two sisters, Nancy McTigue and Sarah Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Campbell Jr.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will begin at noon with Pastor Ed Preston officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mardorf United Methodist Church, 3429 Juniata Gap Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
