Robert Bruce ‘Bruce’ McQuade

Bruce was a 1988 graduate of Altoona Area High School. Over the years, he worked for several companies as a software support technician, analyst and data engineer.

He is survived by his mother, Judith; and his brother, John (Samantha).

He was preceded in death by his father, H. Bruce McQuade.

Bruce enjoyed hiking, biking, following Pittsburgh Penguins hockey and spending time with his cats. He also had a talent for playing the piano, a gift he rarely shared with others.

Private arrangements are being handled by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.

Those wishing to honor Bruce’s memory may consider a donation to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602, in support of the cats and other animals in its care.

Bruce will be remembered by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
