Orchid R. (Grove) Huff, 97, of Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg. Born in North Braddock, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Bertha O. (Schwartz) Grove.
She married John E. Huff on Jan. 22, 1955, in East Pittsburgh. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2017.
Orchid is survived by her loving daughter, Tracey in Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; and her son, Edward.
A faithful member of Ward Avenue Presbyterian Church in Altoona and the Eastern Star, Orchid enjoyed traveling, dining out, reciting and creating clever poems, playing cards, especially Pinochle, and playing bingo at the Presbyterian home.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at noon by the Rev. Brian Choi. Private interment will be at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, it was Orchid's wish that her friends enjoy a dinner at the restaurant of their choice, to remember the joys they shared, "until we meet again."
