Nancy M. Koehle

Nancy M. Koehle, 87, of Altoona, died May 30, 2026, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Leonard and Goldie (McNulty) Farabaugh.

She married Charles E. Koehle on Aug. 4, 1962, in Altoona. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 2018.

Surviving are three sons: Thomas A. Koehle of Altoona, Scott D. Koehle (Angie) of Peoria, Ariz., and Adam C. Koehle of Boise, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and another expected soon; a special niece, Linda Snyder of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Michael F. Koehle in 1995.

Mrs. Koehle was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

She was a graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing.

Nancy was employed as a registered nurse at the former Mercy Hospital, Altoona; she then retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Health Center.

She was an avid reader and she was also a QVC and Amazon “procurement specialist.”

Nancy’s greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2026, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil service for the deceased will be held at 3:45 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, One Cathedral Square, Altoona, with Monsignor Stanley B. Carson, Celebrant.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations please be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
