Janet Marie Grove, 90, of Bellwood, died Friday at Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone. She was born in Tipton, a daughter of the late George Raymond and Marie M. (Walters) Cherry.
On Dec. 18, 1954, she married Melvin E. Grove. He passed away on June 7, 2017.
Janet is survived by her children: Terry and Ron Estep, Kathy and Bob Emeigh, Vicky McNair, Tammy and Daren Johns, Ray and Kim Grove; grandchildren: Kelly, Stephanie, Chad, Ben, Tyler, Abigail and Olivia; stepgrandchildren, Sandy and Chris; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Tyson and Cash; her sisters: Judy Heaton, Lee Ann and Sam Miller; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Judy Gurekovich.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Dale Edward Grove; a brother, Raymond Cherry; a brother-in-law, John McNair; and grandson, Sam.
Janet was a member of Tipton Baptist Church and a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She loved sewing, painting, crafts, church activities, traveling, bowling and fishing.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. A luncheon will be provided following the service at Tipton Baptist Church.
Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery in State College.
