Jacklyn M. Whaley, 74, of Bellwood, died Thursday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Tyrone, a daughter of Lois M. (Givler) and the late Kenneth E. Focht.
On Dec. 29, 1969, she married Runnie G. Whaley in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Surviving are her husband; two children, Kenneth G. Whaley and Ann M. (Richard Jr.) Rinker, both of Bellwood; five grandchildren: Ashley Whaley, Reese and Sadie Rinker, and Elizabeth and Trentin Whaley; four great-grandchildren: Damien Staus, Selene Delfosse, and Hayleigh and Violet Staus; her mother, of Bellwood; two brothers, Randy and Robert Focht; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by a brother, Jeff Focht.
Jacklyn retired as a medical secretary at Tipton Medical for Dr. Levinson and also worked part time for Dr. Baumgarten.
She enjoyed attending Christmas musicals at American Music Theatre in Lancaster and country music concerts. Jacklyn had a passion for helping others and loved working with the many patients she met during her career.
A private celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family.
