Dorothy W. Plank

She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Wallace and sister of the late Ray and John.

She was the loving wife of 69 years of William R. Plank; beloved mother of Carol Crawford (the late David), David Plank and Kathryn Plank (Melissa Leeper); cherished grandmother of Kristina Crawford (Krista Allenbaugh) and Melanie Epperson (Austin); and great-grandmother of Hadley and Hunter Epperson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy graduated from Bellwood-Antis High School and Shippensburg University and was a teacher before becoming a full-time mother. She spent many years advocating for children with disabilities.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township, where her funeral will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
