Carmen Z. Kirk, 85, of Duncansville, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Paul A. and Mary E. (Pearce) Zetler.
Carmen was a 1959 graduate of Bellwood High School; she received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and her master’s degree from the St. Mary’s College of California.
Carmen owned and operated her own IT consulting company and published novels and short stories.
Surviving are her two sisters, Jane Smith (Al) and Anne Lioy; and her brother, P. Alan Zetler (Beth), with whom she resided with for the last four years. Also surviving are nieces and nephew: Melissa, Jennifer, Maria, Jenna and Paul.
Carmen was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Cumming.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Drive, Altoona. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
