Betty Marie Snyder

She was born in Antis Township, a daughter of the late William W. and Beatrice M. (O’Shell) Campbell.

On Feb. 15, 1947, she married Richard E. “Sonny” Snyder in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2021.

Surviving are her son, Gerald E. “Jerry” (Judy) of Altoona; eight grandchildren: Tonia McConnell, Gerald (Darla) Snyder Jr., Bradley (Anita) Snyder, Amy (Denny) Snyder Hargrave, Richard A. Snyder, Jackie (Tony) Sheetz Foderaro, Josh Snyder and Tim Mitchell; 19 great-grand-children; many great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Delores Betke.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard A.; and siblings: Fred, Ellis, Myrtle Harpster and Mary Grace Troxell.

Betty enjoyed cooking, canning, vegetable and flower gardening and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family, especially her many grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.

Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc., Bellwood.

The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to The ARC of Blair County.
