Barbara A. Ensley
June 19, 1944 – June 1, 2026
Barbara A. Ensley, 81, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2026, at Homewood Living Martinsburg after a brief illness. Barb was the daughter of the late Homer and Verda (Callihan) Moore.
On Oct. 14, 1967, she married her husband, Ronald L. Ensley, in Imler. Their enduring love story continued for decades, only coming to an end on Aug. 12, 2024, when Ron passed away.
Barb worked for numerous years at various local businesses, including Dr. Paul Hammaker, DMD, in Roaring Spring and Drs. Jefferies and Kurtz, DMD, in Martinsburg. Later, she assisted Ron with his auctioneering business until they both fully retired.
Barb had a wonderful smile, which she shared with all of those who came into contact with her. She enjoyed spending time with extended family members and others within the community at Homewood. Both she and Ron volunteered their time to aid others at Homewood. After Ron’s passing, she was often the driver for others in the community to make short visits and shopping trips.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Homewood Chapel, Martinsburg, with the Rev. Jerry McCuller officiating.
Interment will be at Hull Cemetery, New Paris.
