Shelly A. Ritchey, 65, of Duncansville, passed away Wednesday at Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas G. and Helen M. (Simendinger) Ritchey.
Surviving are her sister, Nina Ritchey and husband, Randy Schmerbeck, of Roaring Spring; a brother, Randy T. and wife, Sharon, of Blue Knob; a niece and nephew, Rebecca E. and Matthew T. and wife, Angelica; a great-niece, Mila; a great-nephew, Owen; and lifetime friends: Carol, Cindy and Tammy.
Shelly graduated from Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School in 1978 and obtained her B.S. in Phlebotomy from Lee Hospital.
She worked at Nason Hospital, Ruetgers-Nease Chemical and retired from Albemarle Corp.
Shelly was a member of the Adam Holliday Chapter NSDAR and Friends of Canoe Creek.
She was a Christian and enjoyed flower gardening, outdoor activities and camping.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at noon.
Interment at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
