Robert Eugene ‘Bob’ Grannas

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Chester Eugene and Helen “Betty” (Gorsuch) Grannas. He was united in marriage to Madelon (Reynolds) Grannas.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Tom, daughter-in-law, Jennifer and their two children, Coleman and Ashby of Denver, Colo.; and his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Anderson of Duncansville. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Nancy Snyder.

Robert proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and applied his knowledge throughout his working years at Grannas Brothers. He was a member of Grace Family Bible Church.

He enjoyed woodworking, stock car racing and cooking. He especially valued time spent with his family and church community.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, Pastor James Zabst officiating. Full military honors will follow.
