Mona L. Yingling, 89, of Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday at the Village at Morrisons Cove, where she resided the last few years. She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late John and Vera (Helsel) Frederick.
On May 31, 1957, she married Charles F. “Pete” Yingling, who preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2019.
She is survived by her son, Barry C. Yingling of Roaring Spring; a sister, Carol Delozier and husband, Richard “Jim,” of Martinsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda L. Yingling.
Mona was a 1955 graduate of Roaring Spring High School and worked at Cove Shoe Factory for many years.
She was a member of the Jobel Court No. 11 in Altoona and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Roaring Spring.
Mona was a caregiver to her family, always putting herself second. She will never be forgotten by her son Barry, her extended family and anyone who was fortunate enough to call her a friend.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Village at Morrisons Cove for the care she received the last few years.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg. Private interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
