Michael Lewis Fink, 64, of Shelocta, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born to Foster Lewis and Sandra Lee (Adams) Fink in Tyrone.

Michael was a veteran of the United States Army from 1980-85, where he served in the Military Police. After his service, he became a park ranger at Raystown Lake Recreation Area and then a corrections officer at SCI Houtzdale for eight years.

Michael was fiercely patriotic and proud to have served his country. He was an athlete in his youth and coached track at his local high school. He enjoyed target shooting and was proud of his skill as a marksman. In his later years, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his kindness and generosity and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by a brother, Brandon Stuart (Erika) McChesney of Cranberry; a sister, Marta Elise (Robert) Farabaugh in New York; a niece, Olivia; and nephew, Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Kevin.

Friends will be received from 3 until the 4 p.m. service Friday, May 15, 2026, at John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 N., Indiana, Pa.
