Michael G. ‘Crappie’ Phillips Sr.

Michael G. “Crappie” Phillips Sr., 83, of Lilly (Stumptown), died Saturday. He was born in Lilly, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Koken) Phillips. Mike was preceded in death by an infant son; and siblings: Mary Ann Screnock, Joseph and John Phillips. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; children: Michele Bond, Michael Jr. and Joseph; six grandchildren; and siblings: Ann Wolfe, Veronica Solarczyk, Steve, Paul and Francis Phillips. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church, Lilly. Arrangements are by Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Portage.
